Zentangle Challenge #188

National Coming Out Day is October 11

I loved the Diva‘s weekly Zentangle® challenge this week which is honor of tomorrow’s National Coming Out Day.

The challenge this week was inspired by a 12 year old boy named Daniel, who offered this idea in honor of a friend of his who is gay. Below is Daniel’s note to Laura Harms, the Diva.

Daniel says:

I think it would be a good way to further inspire tanglers and raise awareness if you considered a challenge to somehow put some aspect of LGBT in a tile. Perhaps using the colors of the rainbow, or using tangles that start with L, G, B, and T, or using those letters as a string?

As someone who has family and friends who are LGBT, I was particularly excited about this challenge and thrilled that Laura shared it with her community.

I was traveling this week and didn’t have any colored pencils or markers so no rainbows in my tile but I had fun tangling the letters while sitting in a hotel room in Wichita, KS.

My kudos to Daniel and his encouragement to all of us to support and celebrate tomorrow’s National Coming Out Day.

It was fun to do letters, not my usual string but a nice change of pace, thanks for stopping by.

Love your Telis T…it’s so delicate. It fits the shape of your T perfectly and looks so good.
